mppa
The motion picture association of america's film-rating system is used in the us ,the MPAA rating system is a voluntary scheme not enforced by law and
films can be exhibited without a rating, though many theaters refuse to
exhibit non-rated or NC-17 rated films.
their members are six production companies which are paramount pictures, 20th century fox, loweus, universal studios, warner bros, columbia pictures, united artist, and rko pictures.
some people think that The MPAA's purpose is to tell us the nature of the film, if it's excessive in violence, language, or nudity, and give it a rating which is a general guideline of what age groups the film is appropriate for.

these are good because they let you know which movies are appopriate for your age or your kids age and it protects people from thing that might traumatise them or hurt them psychologically.
runner runner starring be affleck and justin timberlake was r rated because of the language and the sexual content. i think this was a good rating because ever movie with grafic sexual content or foul language should be r rated to protect the younger movie audiences.
baggage claim was rated pg 13 because some of its sexual content and language it was also rated fairly because the sexual content and language werent too much to be r rated but they were abit too much to be rated g or just pg
unit 26 assignment 1 , sound analysis ( updated for the presenation )
•Christopher
uses sound to create tension and anticipation in the audience in such an
exceptional way , in both the scenes from the dark knight and inception the
diagetic dialogue and ambient sound is in high pitch as the narrative goes
along and the none diagetic soundtrack
always start off in low pitch to create more tension then elevates as the scene gets more intense for
example in inception , as Ariadne enters the elevator Nolan uses a sound bridge of the train to create anticipation in the audience of what they think the next scene will be ,as moll approaches Ariadne the non diagetic soundtrack is
in a low pitch as we hear it in the back ground this makes us feel nervous and really tense but the diagetic dialogue is
clear we can here moll as she says “ your waiting for a train a train that will
take you far away ) then we hear the diagetic ambient sound of the wind blowing and its effect on us is that it gives us a sense of danger like something is about to hppen ,and the diagetic sound the broken glass
makes as she steps on it softly in a higher pitch than the sound track makes us start to thik of what happened to the room , why is there broken glasses around and it scares us,
followed by the panicked gasp of Ariadne ,making us see how afraid and nervous she is. as The none diagetic sound track goes from a slow paste than creates a lot of tension in the audience as it elevates into
higher pitch as the we hear a more scarier soundtrack when moll tries to
chase after Ariadne that shocks the audience up and scares them , Chris Nolan uses
this method to create tension and anticipation in the audience as we saw in
inception , he also uses this exact method in the dark knight as the joker Is
speaking to Rachel .

log and transfer
logging and transferring to get the footage into Final Cut. Logging and transferring is the process of extracting the footage into an editable format.

CompactFlash cards are larger and their connections require the
camera to have pins to make contact with the connectors on the CF card,
which are internal . sd D memory cards have their contacts on the outside, and the cards are
physically smaller. This means that cameras can be made correspondingly
smaller and lighter.
